Product Introduction:

The two-component polyurethane automotive metallic paint utilizes fast-drying hydroxy acrylic resin, featuring quick drying, excellent aluminum powder orientation, convenient application, rapid drying speed, and suitability for wet-on-wet clear coat application. The metallic paint resists mottling during application, exhibits superior metallic pigment alignment and strong metallic effect. When top-coated with the two-component system's clear coat, the paint film achieves a glossy and full-bodied finish.

Construction Reference:

Surface Treatment—Before painting, the substrate surface should be clean, dry, flat, and firm, free from oil, rust, and other contaminants. If there are issues such as oil, old paint film, or weld burrs on the steel surface, they should be mechanically treated (if conditions permit, sandblasting or shot blasting can be used for rust removal), aiming to achieve Sa 2.5 or higher (Sa 3.0).

Dust Removal—Use a compressed air gun to blow away dust or sweep it clean with a soft brush.

Old Paint Film Treatment—Remove it with a scraper, then fill and sand smooth as needed, or employ other methods depending on the situation.

Oil and grease treatment – First remove with a solvent or treat by other means, then wipe clean with a cloth. If conditions permit, rinse with dilute acid first, then flush with clean water, and finally air-dry or oven-dry.

Construction Environment — The suitable application temperature for this product is between 5°C and 40°C. Relative humidity must be below 80%. Avoid application during rain, snow, or fog, and prevent contact with water. Adequate ventilation must be provided during application and drying in confined spaces. The application surface must be dry and clean, with the substrate temperature at least 3°C above the dew point.

Mixing Ratio — Follow the ratio indicated on the packaging.

Construction method: air spraying or brush application. If using special application methods (such as airless spray or roller coating), please specify in advance. The company will adjust the formula according to the special method.

Dilution ratio: Generally 10-30% of the paint volume used.

Gel time——16h (5℃), 6h (15℃), 3h (25℃), 1h (40℃)

Curing time——Mix components A and B in the specified ratio and stir for about 10 minutes before construction, then allow to cure for 10-20 minutes before use.

Incident response:

To avoid skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks before starting work. If paint splashes on the skin, wash it off immediately with warm water, soapy water, or an appropriate cleaner. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.

Ensure good ventilation at the construction site and wear an air mask during spray painting to prevent inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour coatings into drains or sewer pipes.

This product contains flammable substances. Keep away from open flames during storage and application. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. Store the product out of reach of children.

Storage:

It can be stored for at least 12 months at 25°C, after which it should be inspected before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, shaded area away from fire and heat sources.
