Product Introduction:

The two-component polyurethane automotive clear coat 8000 boasts excellent mechanical properties of the paint film, good chemical resistance, and outstanding color and gloss retention. At the same time, this two-component polyurethane clear coat offers excellent fullness, high gloss, good leveling properties, superior overall performance, and relatively fast drying speed.

Construction Reference:

Surface treatment - Before painting, the substrate surface should be clean, dry, flat, and firm, free from oil, rust, and other contaminants. If there are issues such as oil, old paint coatings, or weld burrs on the steel surface, mechanical methods should be used for treatment (if possible, sandblasting or shot blasting should be used for rust removal on the steel surface). The requirement is to achieve Sa 2.5 or higher (Sa 3.0).

Handling of floating dust—use a compressed air gun to blow it clean or sweep it clean with a clean brush.

Old paint film treatment—remove with a scraper, then fill and sand smooth, or adopt other methods as needed.

Grease treatment—first clean with a thinner or use other methods, then wipe with a clean cloth. If possible, wash with dilute acid first, then rinse with clean water, and finally air-dry or bake dry.

Construction environment—The suitable construction temperature for this product is between 5°C and 40°C. Relative humidity must be below 80%. Avoid construction during rain, snow, or fog, and prevent contact with water. During construction and drying in confined spaces, ensure adequate ventilation. The construction surface must be dry and clean, with the substrate temperature at least 3°C above the dew point.

The mixing ratio should follow the proportion indicated on the package.

Application Method - Air spraying or brush application. If special application methods (such as high-pressure airless spraying or roller coating) are used, please specify in advance. The company will adjust the formula accordingly for special methods.

Dilution Ratio - Generally 10-30% of the paint volume used.

Gel Time - 16h (5°C), 6h (15°C), 3h (25°C), 1h (40°C)

Curing time - Mix components A and B in the specified ratio for about 10 minutes before construction, then allow to cure for 10-20 minutes before use.

Accident response:

To avoid skin and eye contact with the paint, protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks should be worn before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash with warm water, soapy water, or an appropriate cleaning agent. If it enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.

The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask must be worn during spray painting to prevent inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour the coating into sewers or drainage pipes.

This product contains flammable substances. Keep away from open flames during storage and construction, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be stored out of reach of children.

Storage:

Storage must comply with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool, well-ventilated, and away from heat sources and open flames. Packaging containers must remain tightly sealed.
