Product Overview:

Alkyd varnish is formulated from alkyd resin, drying agents, and organic solvents, offering excellent gloss, a flexible film, easy application, and natural drying capability. It is suitable for use as a protective and decorative topcoat on surfaces in industrial and mining enterprises, civil buildings, industrial equipment, and more.

Product Features:

1. The surface finish of this product depends on the application method; it is advisable to avoid mixed application techniques whenever possible.

2. Multiple coats must be applied to achieve the specified film thickness, and the coating intervals should be carefully observed.

3. This product must be diluted with alkyd-specific thinner. Using other thinners may affect the surface condition, drying time, and other properties of the paint film.

Construction Reference:

Surface Treatment — Before painting, the substrate surface should be clean, dry, smooth, and firm, free from oil, rust, and other contaminants. If there are issues such as oil stains, old paint flakes, or weld spatter on the steel surface, mechanical methods should be used for treatment (if conditions permit, sandblasting or shot blasting can be employed for rust removal), achieving a standard of Sa2.5 or higher (Sa3.0). For newly applied primer, the topcoat should be applied within the specified recoating interval.

Dust Removal — Use a compressed air gun to blow away dust or clean with a soft brush.

Old paint film treatment—Remove with a scraper, then fill and sand smooth, or use other methods as appropriate.

Handling of Grease – First remove or treat with a thinner or other methods, then wipe clean with a clean cloth. If possible, clean with dilute acid first, rinse with clean water, and then air dry or bake dry.

Construction Environment – The suitable application temperature for this product ranges between 5°C and 40°C. Relative humidity must be below 80%, avoiding application during rain, snow, or fog, and contact with water is strictly prohibited. Adequate ventilation must be provided during application and drying in confined spaces. The construction surface must be dry and clean, with the substrate temperature at least 3°C above the dew point.

Construction method——Air spraying or brushing. If using special construction methods (such as airless spraying or roller coating), please specify in advance, and the company will adjust the formula accordingly.

Dilution ratio——Appropriately add thinner according to different construction methods.

Spray gun pressure——Approximately 4–6 kg/cm²

Health and Safety:

To avoid skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, wash immediately with warm water, soapy water, or other suitable cleansers. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.

The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask must be worn during spraying to prevent inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Do not pour the coating into sewers or drainage pipes.

This product is flammable. Keep away from open flames during storage and application, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. Store the product out of reach of children.

Storage:

Ata temperature of 25°C, it can be stored for at least 12 months. After this period, check before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, shaded place, away from fire and heat sources.
