Product Introduction:
Silicone high-temperature paint is a single-component heat-resistant coating composed of silicone resin, high-temperature resistant pigments, organic solvents, and additives. This product exhibits excellent heat resistance and high-temperature corrosion protection. It is suitable for use in the petroleum industry, mechanical and electronic industries, building materials industry, metallurgical industry, as well as high-temperature equipment, pipelines, chimneys, and the exterior surfaces of motors and electrical appliances.
Product Features:
1. The surface finish of this product depends on the application method; avoid mixed application methods whenever possible.
2. Airless spraying achieves the highest film thickness in a single coat. For air spraying, multiple cross-coatings are needed to reach maximum thickness. If brushing or rolling is used, multiple coats are required to meet the specified thickness.
3. This product must be used with the specified thinner. Using other thinners, especially those containing alcohol solvents, will severely affect the curing process of the paint film.
Technical indicators:
Color | Surface Dry | Mass Solid Content | Volume Solid Content | Specific Gravity | Flash point | Theoretical coverage rate (Silver) | Typical dry Film thickness | Coating method |
Aluminum color (silver) | 30min | 48+2% | 35+2% | 1.06+0.02 | (Closed) 28+2℃ | Under the above conditions of solid content and a dry film thickness of 20μm, 7.5㎡/㎏ | A dry film of 20μm is equivalent to a wet film of 57μm | Air spraying, brushing |
Application Guidelines:
Surface Treatment—All surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants, and should be evaluated and treated according to ISO 8504.
Bare Steel Cleanliness: Blast clean to Sa 2 1/2 (ISO 8501-1:1988).
Painted Surfaces:
Fully cured and cleaned zinc silicate primer.
Handling of dust – It can be blown clean with a compressed air gun or swept clean with a clean brush.
Old paint film treatment—Remove with a scraper, then fill and sand smooth, or use other methods as appropriate.
Grease treatment—First clean with a thinner or other methods, then wipe with a clean cloth. If conditions permit, first wash with dilute acid, rinse with clean water, and then air-dry or oven-dry.
Construction Environment: Surface temperature to be painted should be between 10°C and 40°C, at least 3°C above the dew point of the air. Temperature and relative humidity should be measured near the substrate. Good ventilation is usually required in confined areas to ensure proper drying.
Mixing Ratio: Follow the proportion indicated on the packaging.
Application Method: Spraying - Air spraying is recommended.
Brushing - Recommended for pre-coating and small-area applications, but the specified dry film thickness must be achieved.
Dilution ratio — generally 10-30% of the paint quantity used.
Spray gun pressure — 4—6㎏
Tool cleaning — matching thinner
Supporting Products:
Inorganic zinc-rich primer, inorganic zinc silicate primer 50 microns (dry film thickness) or organic silicon high-temperature resistant primer 20 microns (dry film thickness); organic silicon high-temperature resistant topcoat 40 microns (dry film thickness). Other specifications can be formulated according to specific circumstances.
Emergency Response:
To avoid skin and eye contact with paint, wear appropriate work clothes, gloves, protective goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash with warm water, soapy water, or other suitable cleaning agents. If paint enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated. Wear an air mask during spray painting to prevent inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour paint into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable; keep away from open flames during storage and application, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be placed out of reach of children.
Storage:
Can be stored for at least 12 months at 25°C, after which it should be inspected before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, and shaded area, away from fire and heat sources.
