Product Introduction:
This product is also known as "Cooling Gel" and belongs to a composite coating system. Its structure embodies integrated functions of heat reflection, insulation, and corrosion resistance. It consists of a primer and a topcoat. The topcoat's functionality aligns with the mechanisms of light and heat reflection, absorption, and emission, primarily in white. The primer's performance adheres to the principles of heat storage, conversion, and transfer within the coating film, featuring characteristics of high thin-layer application and superior thermal insulation. An additional function is its corrosion-resistant property.
Product Features:
1. Low thermal conductivity with excellent reflective and heat insulation effects, significantly reducing the surface temperature of petrochemical storage tanks under sunlight exposure, and providing heat insulation and cooling for the coated equipment.
2. No need for water cooling, saving energy and protecting the environment.
3. Lightweight, thin layer, and relatively simple construction.
Recommended matching products:
baotashan Paint heat-reflective insulation primer, heat-reflective insulation topcoat.
Construction Reference:
This coating can be applied by rolling, brushing, or spraying. Use baotashan Paint’s dedicated solvent for dilution. A dry film thickness of 250–350 μm after drying can achieve excellent thermal insulation performance.
1. Construction Conditions: The construction surface must be dry and clean. The temperature should be at least 3°C above the dew point, with a minimum construction temperature of 5°C or higher.
2. Surface treatment: Achieve a rust removal grade of Sa2.5, meaning the metal surface is free from visible oil, grease, dirt, and attachments such as oxide scale or rust.
3. Painting process: Apply one coat of heat-reflective insulating primer (with a dry film thickness of no less than 30μm), followed by a 12-hour interval before applying two to three additional coats of heat-reflective insulating primer (each coat spaced 12 hours apart, totaling a dry film thickness of no less than 130–150μm). After a 24-hour interval, apply two coats of heat-reflective insulating topcoat.
Thinner: During application, an appropriate amount of dedicated thinner can be added for proper dilution to ensure film-forming performance.
Note: According to user coating requirements, the primer adopts epoxy zinc-rich coating, and the company's primer is used as an intermediate coat.
Precautions:
1. Tools used after construction must be kept dry and clean.
2. After opening the drum, promptly reseal it to prevent the paint surface from drying out. After mixing the paint, the hardener container must be tightly sealed to avoid adhesive failure.
3. The relative humidity during construction must not exceed 80%.
4. Fire prevention and ventilation are required during construction, using dry powder foam or similar materials as fire extinguishers.
Incident Response:
To prevent skin and eye exposure to paint, appropriate workwear, gloves, protective goggles, and masks should be worn before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash with warm water, soapy water, or other suitable cleaning agents. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask should be worn during spraying to avoid inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Do not pour the coating into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable; keep it away from open flames during storage and application. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be stored out of reach of children.
Storage:
Can be stored for at least 12 months at 25°C, after which inspection is required before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, shaded place, away from fire and heat sources.
