Product Introduction:

This product features excellent decorative properties and outstanding corrosion resistance. Particularly, the dried paint film exhibits superior hardness, impact deformation resistance, and performance against chemical media. It is suitable for environments with light to moderate anti-corrosion requirements, such as automobile compartments, steel structures, bridge steel frames, and chemical steel structures. Even in harsh environments where high demands are placed on paint film flexibility, hardness, impact resistance, and resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts, this product maintains excellent anti-corrosion performance.

Product: IPN interpenetrating polymer network topcoat can be recoated on IPN interpenetrating polymer network primer, IPN interpenetrating polymer network intermediate coat, general epoxy primer or epoxy zinc-rich primer, and epoxy mica iron oxide intermediate coat. Solution: Two coats of primer (90μm), two coats of intermediate coat (90μm), and two coats of topcoat (60μm), totaling approximately 240μm. For environments requiring higher anti-corrosion performance, use: two coats of primer (120μm), two coats of intermediate coat (120μm), and two coats of topcoat (60μm), totaling approximately 300μm.

Construction Reference:

Surface Preparation – If applying the topcoat directly onto steel surfaces, weld seams and edges on the steel surface should be treated before painting. Dust should be blown off, and if conditions permit, dilute acid can be used for degreasing followed by thorough rinsing with fresh water. For steel surfaces requiring sandblasting for rust removal, the standard GB8923-88 should be followed, typically achieving Sa2.5 grade. If applying over primer or intermediate coats, the IPN interpenetrating polymer network topcoat should be applied over the rust-proof or anti-corrosion primer recommended by our company. The primer surface must be dry, free from contamination, and dust-free. Moreover, the IPN interpenetrating polymer network topcoat must be applied within the specified recoating interval. Areas where the primer or intermediate coat has peeled or been damaged should be treated, and these defective areas should be repainted with primer or intermediate coat before applying the IPN interpenetrating polymer network topcoat.

Handling of Dust - If there is surface dust on the substrate or on the sprayed primer, it can be removed using an air gun or by sweeping with a clean brush.

Construction Environment - The optimal application temperature for this product is between 5°C and 40°C. Relative humidity must be below 75%, and construction should be avoided during rain, snow, or fog, with any contact with water strictly prohibited. Adequate ventilation is necessary during application and drying in confined spaces. The substrate surface must be dry and clean, with its temperature at least 3°C above the dew point.

Application Method - Mix the paint and hardener strictly according to the ratio printed on the container label, then add the corresponding amount of thinner based on the application method. Stir the mixture for 10-20 minutes, let it stand for another 10-20 minutes, and it will be ready for application.

Work pause - Use baotashan Paint IPN interpenetrating polymer network coating special thinner to clean the spray gun to prevent the paint from solidifying and clogging the nozzle. All mixed paints with added hardener should be used within 5 hours (this is the activation period at 25°C; it may extend relatively in winter and shorten accordingly in summer). It is best to estimate the amount of paint needed before each preparation to prevent over-mixing. During storage, the paint may start to react at natural temperatures, leading to severe thickening or even solidification, making it unsuitable for application and causing unnecessary losses.

Spray gun pressure — 12-15MPa

Precautions:

1. All tools used after construction must be kept dry and clean.

2. Close the lid promptly after opening the bucket to prevent the paint surface inside from drying out. After mixing the paint, the hardener container must be tightly sealed to avoid adhesive failure.

3. The curing agents and thinners for primer and topcoat are not interchangeable. Pay attention when using them.

4. The relative humidity during construction must not exceed 80%.

5. When the room temperature is below 0℃, the drying and curing speed will be slower. Construction should not be carried out during rainy days or when the wind force is above level 4.

Fire prevention and ventilation should be ensured during construction. Use foam dry powder and other materials as fire extinguishing agents.

Accident Response:

To prevent skin and eye contact with paint, workers should wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash it off with warm water, soapy water, or other appropriate cleaning agents. If paint enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention promptly.

The construction site should be well-ventilated, and air masks must be worn during spraying to prevent inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour paint into sewers or drainage pipes.

This product is flammable and should be kept away from open flames during storage and application. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be placed out of reach of children.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place. Valid storage period is one year (can be reused after passing inspection one year later)
