Product Introduction:
Polysiloxane acrylic topcoat is a two-component coating with ultra-high application solids and low VOC content. It serves as a topcoat over epoxy coatings, suitable for harsh corrosive atmospheric environments requiring durability and gloss retention.
Product Features:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance, with an extremely dense film and chemical inertness, providing outstanding resistance to corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, and other media.
2.ExcellentDurability with longer-lasting color and gloss retention.
3. A single application achieves a dry film thickness of 100μm, featuring ultra-high application solids.
Matching Products and Solutions:
Epoxy zinc-rich primer 1×60 microns (dry film thickness)
Acrylic polysiloxane topcoat 1×120 microns (dry film thickness)
Other matching systems can be formulated according to specific conditions.
Construction Reference:
Surface Preparation: All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry, and free from contamination. The surfaces must be evaluated and treated according to the international standard ISO8504. Paint should only be applied onto clean, dry, and intact compatible primers.
2 Construction Conditions: Measurements of temperature and relative humidity should be taken near the substrate close to the work area. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point of the air, with relative humidity between 30%-80%, and substrate temperature not exceeding 40°C. In confined spaces, adequate ventilation is essential to ensure proper drying of the paint film.

4 Drying Time
Drying Time:
Ventilation conditions, temperature, humidity, paint film thickness, and the number of coating layers will all correspondingly affect the drying time. The typical data listed in the table below is based on the following basic conditions:
Well-ventilated, typical film thickness, single coat on inert substrate.
Substrate temperature | 5℃ | 15℃ | 25℃ | 40℃ |
Surface dry | 6h | 4.5h | 2h | 1.5h |
Practical work | 40h | 16h | 12h | 2.5h |
The above data is for reference only. Actual drying time or time interval before coating application may vary depending on factors such as film thickness, ventilation conditions, humidity, and compatible primers.
Precautions:
1. After construction, all tools used must be kept dry and clean.
2. Close the lid promptly after opening to prevent the paint surface inside the bucket from drying out. After mixing the paint, the hardener container must be tightly sealed to avoid failure of the adhesive.
3. The hardeners and thinners for primer and topcoat are not interchangeable. Pay attention when using them.
4. The relative humidity during construction must not exceed 80%.
5. When the room temperature is below 0°C, the drying and curing process is slower, and construction should not be carried out during rainy days or when the wind force exceeds level 4.
Fire prevention and ventilation should be ensured during construction, with foam dry powder and other materials used as extinguishing agents.
Incident response:
To avoid skin and eye contact with paint, protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks should be worn before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, wash immediately with warm water, soapy water, or other appropriate cleaning agents. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask must be worn during spray painting to prevent inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour paint into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable. Keep away from open flames during storage and application. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. Store the product out of reach of children.
Storage:
Avoid exposure to rain and sunlight during both transportation and storage. Handle with care, and store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and open flames. In a sealed condition, the original packaging has a shelf life of one year. Products beyond the shelf life can still be used if they pass inspection.
