Product Introduction:

This product is a two-component modified polyurethane topcoat with excellent surface appearance, which can be paired with PU1001 universal primer according to customers' specific requirements for application on steel structure equipment.

Product Features:

1. The surface finish of this product depends on the application method; mixed application techniques should be avoided whenever possible.

2.This product must be used with PU1001 special thinner. Using other thinners, especially those containing alcohol solvents, will severely affect the curing process of the paint film;

3. Condensation during or immediately after application may result in a dull finish or poor-quality film formation;

4. When using brush or roller application, the selection of primer should be compatible with the topcoat. Dark-colored primers or micaceous iron oxide primers typically require the application of two coats of PU1001 topcoat.

Construction conditions:,

Surface treatment – Before painting, the substrate surface should be clean, dry, smooth, and firm, free from grease, rust, and other debris. If there are issues such as grease, old paint film, or weld spatter on the steel surface, mechanical equipment should be used for treatment (if possible, sandblasting or shot blasting is preferred for rust removal on steel surfaces), requiring a standard of Sa2.5 or higher (Sa3.0).

Dust removal – Use a compressed air gun to blow off or a clean brush to sweep away loose dust.

Old Paint Film Treatment—Scrape off with a putty knife, then fill and sand smooth, or use other methods as appropriate.

Grease Treatment—First remove with a thinner or treat by other means, then wipe clean with a cloth. If conditions allow, wash with a dilute acid first, rinse with clean water, and then air-dry or oven-dry.

Application Environment—The optimal application temperature for this product is between 5°C and 40°C. Relative humidity must be below 80%. Avoid application during rainy, snowy, or foggy weather, and prevent contact with water. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying in confined spaces. The application surface must be dry and clean, and the substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.

Mixing Ratio——Refer to the ratio indicated on the packaging.

Application Method——Air spraying or brushing. If using special application methods (such as high-pressure airless spraying or roller coating), please specify in advance. The company will adjust the formulation accordingly for special methods.

Dilution ratio——Generally 10-30% of the amount of paint used.

Gelation time - 5℃ (16h), 15℃ (6h), 25℃ (3h), 40℃ (1h).

Curing time - Before construction, mix components A and B in the specified ratio and stir for about 10 minutes, then cure for 10-20 minutes before use.

Spray gun pressure: 4-6 kg

Preventive Measures:

To prevent skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash it off with warm water, soapy water, or other suitable cleaning agents. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention promptly.

The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask must be worn during spraying to prevent inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Do not pour the paint into sewers or drainage pipes.

This product is flammable. Keep away from open flames during storage and application, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. Store the product out of reach of children.

Emergency Response:

In case of skin contact: Rinse thoroughly with water.

If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Seek medical advice./Consult a physician。

Storage:

Can be stored for at least 12 monthsat 25℃, after which inspection is required before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, shaded area away from fire and heat sources.
