Product Introduction:
A two-component polyurethane acrylic topcoat with excellent durability and long-term repairability. Widely used for outdoor steel structure protection in various environments, providing long-lasting protection for large instruments, high-voltage switches and transformers, chemical and petrochemical plants, bridges, tankers, and external tank walls.
Product Features:
1. Gloss and surface finish depend on the application method. Avoid mixing multiple coating methods as much as possible. The best gloss and appearance can be achieved using traditional air spray painting.
2. When repainting after weathering or aging, thoroughly treat the existing coating by removing surface contaminants such as grease, salt crystals, road dust, etc., before applying a new coat. The interlayer adhesion will decrease when applied over aged coatings, but it will still meet the requirements for the intended use.
3. This product must be diluted with the recommended thinner. Using other thinners, especially alcohol-based ones, will severely affect the curing mechanism of the coating.
4. The surface temperature must always remain at least 3 degrees Celsius above the dew point.
5. When used in enclosed spaces, ensure adequate ventilation is maintained.
6. Moisture condensation during or immediately after the coating process will cause the surface to lose gloss and deteriorate the film quality.
7. Contact with accumulated water before complete curing may lead to discoloration, especially under dark colors and low-temperature conditions.
8. Severe solvent splashing may occur during mixing or application. Please contact our company for information on applicability.
Supporting Products:
The following primer/intermediate paint combinations are recommended: epoxy zinc-rich primer, epoxy iron red primer, epoxy mica iron oxide intermediate paint, and acrylic polyurethane paint suitable for self-recoating.
Construction Conditions:
Surface treatment: The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, and free from contamination. The acrylic polyurethane topcoat must be applied over the recommended rust-preventive primer on pre-coated surfaces. The primer surface should be dry and uncontaminated. Application must be carried out within the specified recoating interval. Areas with peeling or damage should be treated, and anti-corrosion primer should be reapplied to these sections before applying the topcoat.
Construction: This product comes in two cans. When using, it is essential to mix the two components together in the specified ratio at once and use up within the designated mixing period. Thoroughly mix the base material (A) using a power tool, then combine all the curing agent (B) with the base material (A) and mix thoroughly with the power tool. Add an appropriate amount of acrylic thinner and stir evenly.
Mixing Ratio: Mass ratio A:B = 10:1.5 (specific ratio as indicated on the packaging)
Mixed service life: -5℃ 5℃ 15℃ 25℃ 40℃
20h 8h 4h 2h 40min
Diluent: Acrylic polyurethane thinner
Work suspension: Do not leave paint in hoses, spray guns, or application equipment. Thoroughly flush equipment with the designated thinner. For prolonged work suspensions, it is recommended to use freshly mixed paint when resuming operations.
Cleaning: All equipment should be cleaned with acrylic thinner after use. In daily operations, regular cleaning of all equipment is necessary, with the frequency determined by factors such as the amount of spraying, temperature, spraying duration, and any interruptions.
All remaining paint and empty containers must be disposed of in accordance with laws and regulations.
Precautions:
To avoid skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a mask before starting the work. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash it off with warm water, soapy water, or other suitable cleaning agents. If paint gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask must be worn during spraying to prevent inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour the paint into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable; keep it away from open flames during storage and application, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be stored out of reach of children.
Incident response:
If on skin: Wash with plenty of water.
If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention./Get medical advice/attention。
