Product Introduction:
baotashan Paint's high-chlorinated polyethylene anti-corrosion coating is a single-component, room-temperature self-drying anti-corrosion paint formulated by mixing and grinding high-chlorinated polyethylene resin, additives, pigments, fillers, and solvents.
Primarily used for internal and external anti-corrosion and rust prevention of chemical equipment and pipelines, as well as protection for marine equipment, salt fields, sewage treatment facilities, oil-resistant equipment, etc.; safeguarding cement structures, bridges, and other industrial installations.
This product represents a new generation of anti-corrosion paint following chlorosulfonated polyethylene paint. High chlorinated polyethylene anti-corrosion coating is a single-component vinyl resin paint, featuring simple operation and ease of use. It boasts excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, oil, aging, ozone, high rust prevention capability, good coloring, and flame-retardant properties.
Product Features:
1. The service life and anti-corrosion effectiveness of the paint film depend on factors such as surface preparation during application, film thickness, and the corrosive environment. Users should meet the requirements for surface treatment and construction conditions. Generally, a film thickness of at least 100 microns is necessary, while harsher conditions demand over 150 microns.
2. During application, this product rapidly releases solvents. Repeated applications may lead to an overly thick total film, causing solvent entrapment, blistering, and pinholes in the coating. Since each layer can trap solvents, it is generally recommended to avoid applying too thick a coat of high chlorinated polyethylene anti-corrosion paint at once or allowing insufficient drying time between coats.
3. This product must be diluted with its specific thinner. Using other thinners can severely affect the drying performance and surface finish of the paint film.
Matching Products:
High chlorinated vinyl anti-corrosion primer or epoxy primer 2*40 microns or 1*50 microns (dry film thickness)
High chlorinated polyethylene anti-corrosion intermediate coating 2*35 microns (dry film thickness)
High chlorinated polyethylene anti-corrosion top coating 2*30 microns (dry film thickness)
Construction Reference:
Surface Treatment – Metal Surfaces: The surface to be painted must be thoroughly cleaned before application to ensure it is free from rust, oil, moisture, dust, etc. For general anti-corrosion steel surfaces or steel structure maintenance, manual rust removal can achieve the Swedish SISO55900 rust removal standard St2 or St3 grade. For critical anti-corrosion projects or newly constructed steel structures, sandblasting or shot blasting should be performed to meet the Swedish rust removal standard Sa2 grade. This process creates a certain roughness on the steel surface, enhancing the adhesion of the paint film.
Concrete Surfaces: Concrete and mortar are porous and contain moisture and alkaline substances. If paint is applied directly, the film may discolor, blister, or peel due to saponification caused by the alkaline substances. Therefore, new concrete and cement mortar surfaces must undergo a curing period to allow moisture to evaporate and alkaline salts to leach out. These residues must be completely removed before painting. Generally, the moisture content should be below 6%. If the concrete surface has pits, they can be filled and leveled with putty.
Repair: Use appropriate cleaning agents to thoroughly remove grease and other contaminants, and use freshwater to eliminate salt and other residues. Sandblasting can be employed to remove rust and other loose materials. Power tools may be used for small-area cleaning.
Dust Removal: Use a compressed air gun to blow away dust or sweep clean with a soft brush.
Application Environment: Below freezing point, check for ice formation on surfaces to prevent affecting paint adhesion. Ensure normal, favorable application conditions. In confined spaces, maintain ventilation. During hot summer months, avoid application under intense sunlight. Avoid application during rain, snow, fog, or strong wind and sand conditions.

Accident Response:
To prevent skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash with warm water, soapy water, or other appropriate cleaning agents. If paint enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated, and air masks must be worn during spraying operations to prevent inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Do not pour the paint into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable; keep away from open flames during storage and application, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be stored out of reach of children.
Storage: %% Can be stored for at least 12 months at 25°C, after which it should be checked before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, shaded area away from fire and heat sources.
