Product Introduction:
baotashan Paint inorganic zinc-rich primer is a zinc-rich primer composed of ethyl silicate, zinc powder, additives, etc. This product is suitable as an anti-corrosion primer for large steel structures such as steel structures in heavy corrosion environments, steel piles at docks, mine steel supports, and bridges.
Product Features:
1. The service life and anti-corrosion effect of the paint film depend on factors such as surface treatment during painting, film thickness, and the corrosive environment. Users should meet the requirements for surface treatment and construction conditions during use. Generally, the paint film thickness should be maintained at least 100 microns, and in harsh conditions, it should exceed 150 microns.
2. This product rapidly releases solvents during the construction process. Repeated applications may result in an excessively thick total paint film, leading to blistering due to "solvent entrapment" and causing pinholes in the coating. Since each coat can potentially trap solvents, it is generally recommended that when applying high-chlorinated ethylene anti-corrosive coatings, a single coat should not be too thick, and the interval between recoats should not be too short.
3. This product must be used with a dedicated thinner. The use of other thinners will severely affect the drying properties and surface finish of the paint film.
Matching products:
Inorganic zinc-rich primer 2 x 60 microns (dry film thickness)
Epoxy paint is typically used for subsequent coatings.
Construction Reference:
Surface Treatment – All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. The surfaces must be evaluated and prepared according to the international standard ISO8504.
Bare Steel
Cleanliness: Blast clean to Sa2½ (ISO8501-1:2007). Roughness: Treat with appropriate abrasive to achieve a fine to medium (30-85 microns, Ry5) surface roughness grade as specified in international standard ISO85032.
Construction Environment — The substrate temperature must not be lower than 5°C and should be at least 3°C above the dew point of the air. Measurements of temperature and relative humidity should be taken at the substrate near the work area. Typically, inorganic zinc-rich primers require moisture to cure. In low-humidity conditions, it is necessary to lightly spray a small amount of fresh water mist over the coating to promote curing. The film of inorganic zinc-rich primer is porous. The porosity varies depending on the application technique and climatic conditions during construction. Air trapped within the pores can escape through the newly applied coating, leading to pinholes or bubbles on the freshly finished surface. To prevent this, it is recommended to apply a sealer coat beforehand to avoid the formation of pinholes or bubbles.
Mixing ratio — A:B=4:1.
Dilution ratio—Generally 10-15% of the paint volume used
Spray gun pressure—4-6 kg

Accident Response:
To prevent skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective work clothes, gloves, goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash it off with warm water, soap, or other appropriate cleaning agents. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated. Wear an air mask during spraying to avoid inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Do not pour the coating into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable. Keep it away from open flames during storage and construction, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the worksite. Store the product out of reach of children.
Storage:
Can be stored for at least 12 months at 25°C, after which it should be inspected before use. Store in a dry, well-ventilated, shaded area, away from fire and heat sources.
