Product Introduction:
baotashan Paint Chlorinated Ether Anti-corrosion Coating is a single-component, room-temperature self-drying paint prepared by mixing chlorinated ether resin, modified resin, pigments, extender pigments, solvents, and various additives before grinding.
Primarily used for long-term corrosion protection in shipping containers, steel structures in chemical and atmospheric environments, various storage tanks, chemical equipment, port machinery, marine facilities, mining machinery, rolling stock, and civil outdoor steel structures.
This product features strong coating adhesion, a dense structure, and outstanding physicochemical properties, offering superior performance compared to other anti-corrosion coatings in resisting UV radiation, salt spray, seawater, and corrosive gas media splashes.
Product Features:
1. This product may decompose and age when exposed to high humidity and elevated temperatures. Therefore, under dry conditions, the maximum operating temperature is 80°C. As a thermoplastic product, prolonged mechanical stress at temperatures above 40°C may cause film indentation, but the mechanical strength of the film will recover upon temperature reduction.
2. Repeated maintenance work may result in an overly thick total film, leading to blistering due to solvent "entrapment." Since each coat can potentially trap solvents, it is generally recommended that applying chlorinated ether anti-corrosion coatings should not be too thick, and the recoating interval should not be too short.
3. This product must be diluted with specialized thinners. Using other thinners may severely affect the drying and surface finish of the film.
Supporting Products:
Chlorinated ether anti-corrosive primer or epoxy primer: 2*40μm or 1*50μm (dry film thickness)
Chlorinated ether anti-corrosive intermediate coat: 2*40μm (dry film thickness)
Chlorinated ether anti-corrosive topcoat: 2*40μm (dry film thickness)
Construction reference:
Surface treatment — New steel: Thoroughly remove grease with appropriate cleaning agents, and remove salt and other contaminants with fresh water. Sandblast to Sa2.5 grade. Before assembly, damaged shop primers and contaminants during storage and transportation must be removed and repaired with this product. Repair: Thoroughly remove grease and other contaminants with appropriate cleaning agents, and remove salt and other contaminants with fresh water. It is best to remove rust and other loose materials by sandblasting. Power tools can be used for small-area cleaning.
Handling of Dust – Use a compressed air gun to blow clean or sweep with a clean brush.
Construction Environment – Below freezing point, check for ice on the surface to avoid affecting paint adhesion. Ensure normal and favorable construction conditions. In confined spaces, maintain proper ventilation. During hot summer days, avoid construction under intense sunlight. Construction is not advisable during adverse weather such as rain, snow, fog, or strong winds with sand.
Construction Method – Air spraying or high-pressure airless spraying.
Dilution ratio — Generally 3-15% of the paint volume used
Spray gun pressure — Pressure 0.3~0.6MPa
Tool cleaning — Special thinner
Coating Data:
Color | Flexibility | Adhesion | Chemical Resistance | Quality solid content | Flash Point | Density | Theoretical Coverage Rate (Silver) | Typical dry Film thickness | Coating method |
Various colors | Good | Good | Fine | ≥55% | (closed) 35+2℃ | (1..35+0.1) g/ml | Under the aforementioned conditions of solid content by mass and a dry film thickness of 40μm, 5.5+1㎡/㎏ | Dry film 30-50μm, equivalent to wet film 60-90μm | Air Spraying, airless spraying |
Accident response:
To prevent skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a mask before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, wash immediately with warm water, soapy water, or other appropriate cleaning agents. If paint enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated, and air masks must be worn during spraying operations to prevent inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Do not pour the paint into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable; keep away from open flames during storage and application. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be stored out of reach of children.
Storage:
Can be stored for at least 12 months at 25°C, after which it should be inspected before use. Store in a dry, ventilated, shaded area, away from fire and heat sources.
