Product Overview:
Epoxy primer is a two-component coating made from epoxy resin, additives, pigments, rust and corrosion inhibitors, fillers, plasticizers, organic solvents, and various auxiliaries. This product exhibits excellent adhesion to various substrates, along with resistance to alkali, oil, water, and superior rust-proof performance. It serves as an ideal primer for corrosion protection on the inner and outer walls of large chemical machinery, storage tanks, and pipelines.

Application Guidelines:
Surface Preparation – Before painting, the substrate surface should be clean, dry, smooth, and firm, free from oil, rust, and other contaminants. If there are issues such as oil, old paint film, or weld spatter on the steel surface, mechanical treatment should be applied (if conditions permit, sandblasting or shot blasting is recommended for rust removal), achieving a standard of Sa2.5 or higher (Sa3.0).
Dust Removal – Use an air gun to blow off or clean with a soft brush.
Old Paint Film Treatment – Remove with a scraper, then fill and sand smooth, or use other methods as appropriate.
Oil/Grease Treatment – First clean with solvent or other methods, then wipe with a clean cloth. If possible, wash with dilute acid, rinse with water, and then dry or bake.
Construction Environment—Substrate temperature: 5℃ to 40℃, should be at least 3℃ above the dew point temperature.
Relative humidity: <80%
Measurements of temperature and relative humidity should be taken near the substrate at the work site. In enclosed spaces, adequate ventilation must be maintained during painting to ensure proper drying of the coating film. Hot air should not be applied before solvents have completely evaporated from the coating film.
The coating must not be subjected to external forces before it is fully cured.
Mixing Ratio—Refer to the ratio indicated on the packaging.
Construction method—air spraying or brushing. If special application methods (such as high-pressure airless spraying or roller coating) are used, please specify in advance, and the company will adjust the formula accordingly for the special method.
Dilution Ratio—Typically 10-30% of the paint volume used.
Gelation time — 23℃, 6 hours (shortens with increasing temperature)
Curing time — Mix components A and B thoroughly in the specified ratio, then allow to cure for 30 minutes before use.
Spray gun pressure — 4–6 kg

Recommended matching products:
Epoxy Primer50μDry Film Thickness
Available topcoat options: epoxy, acrylic, vinyl paint, polyurethane, etc.
Unavailable topcoat options: alkyd, epoxy ester. Other matching coatings can be customized based on specific circumstances.
Health and Safety:
To avoid skin and eye contact with paint, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and masks before construction. If paint splashes onto the skin, immediately wash it off with warm water, soapy water, or other suitable cleaning agents. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
The construction site should be well-ventilated, and an air mask must be worn during spray painting to prevent inhaling solvent vapors and paint mist. Never pour paint into sewers or drainage pipes.
This product is flammable. Keep away from open flames during storage and application, and smoking is strictly prohibited at the construction site. The product should be stored out of reach of children.
Storage:
AtCan be stored at 25℃ for at least 12 months, after which it should be checked before use. Store in a dry, well-ventilated, shaded area, away from fire and heat sources.
Note:
The above materials and data are all obtained based on laboratory tests and experimental experiences. Due to individual circumstances (such as construction techniques, testing methods, or paint improvements, etc.), the data may vary.
