Product Overview:
Epoxy intermediate paint for containers is a two-component coating formulated from epoxy resin, anti-corrosion pigments, additives, organic solvents, and curing agents. This product features excellent adhesion and superior anti-corrosion properties, making it suitable for painting container surfaces.
Construction Reference:
Surface Preparation——All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. The surfaces should be evaluated and treated according to the international standard ISO8504.
Steel surfaces with shop primer must be clean, dry, and intact.
Dust Removal——Loose dust can be removed using a compressed air gun or by sweeping with a clean brush.
Old paint film treatment – Use a scraper to remove and then fill and sand smooth, or employ other methods as appropriate.
Grease Treatment – First remove or treat with a thinner or other method, then wipe clean with a clean cloth. If conditions permit, wash with dilute acid first, rinse with clean water, and then air-dry or oven-dry.
Construction Environment – The substrate temperature should be between 5°C and 40°C. When painting in enclosed spaces, ensure good ventilation to allow proper drying of the paint film. Avoid exposure to hot air before solvents have completely evaporated from the paint film to prevent surface skinning and solvent retention. Do not subject the coating to external forces until fully cured.
Mixing Ratio – Follow the specified ratio indicated on the packaging.
Construction Method - Air spraying or airless spraying. If special application methods (such as high-pressure airless spraying or roller coating) are used, it should be specified in advance. The company will adjust the formulation accordingly for special methods.
Dilution ratio—Generally 10-30% of the paint volume used.
Gelation time - 23°C, 6 hours (shortens with increasing temperature).
Curing time - Thoroughly mix components A and B in the specified ratio, then allow to cure for 30 minutes before use.
Spray gun pressure - 4-6 kg
Tool cleaning - Use the matching thinner
