Product Introduction:
It is a two-component water-based coating composed of waterborne epoxy resin emulsion, zinc powder, additives, deionized water, and waterborne amine curing agent.
Applications:
Can serve asa high-performance anti-corrosive primer for non-submerged steel structures with stringent solvent emission requirements.
It can be used on steel surfaces in various corrosive environments, such as anti-corrosion coatings for petrochemical plants, power stations, bridges, etc.
Due to its double-emulsion system, it dries quickly with short recoating intervals, making it suitable for coating new substrates as well as for maintenance under other conditions.

Construction Process:
1, Substrate Treatment
Thoroughly remove grease with appropriate cleaning agents, then rinse off salt and other contaminants with high-pressure fresh water. All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry, and free from contamination. Before painting, all surfaces must be evaluated and treated according toISO 8504:1992the standard. If grease is present on surfaces to be coated, clean with solvents until reachingSSPC-SP1standard. All cleanliness standards must be strictly adhered to when applying water-based coatings.
Sandblasting (shot blasting) treatment
The steel surface is sandblasted to Sa2.5(ISO 8501-1:1988) or SSPC-SP6standard.
If oxidation occurs on the steel surface after sandblasting and before applying the water-based epoxy primer, the surface must be re-sandblasted.The work can only proceed after meeting the specified visual standards.

3, two-component formulation
This product is packaged in two cans and must be mixed in the specified ratio each time, then used up within the prescribed mixing period. The mixing period is not indicated by an increase in viscosity. Although under25°C conditions,6hours later the mixture may still appear usable, the protective properties of the paint have significantly diminished by then, making it unsuitable for further use.
1. Use a power mixer to thoroughly stir the base material () until it becomes uniform;);
2Mix the curing agent and base material according to the ratio, then thoroughly blend using a power mixer.

4Painting Environment Requirements
Apply by air spray or airless spray method. Thoroughly rinse the equipment with tap water before use, followed by rinsing with purified water.
To achieve maximum edge protection and film thickness, air spray or airless spray application is recommended.
The minimum steel temperature during application must exceed10℃and be at least above the dew point.3℃。
The relative humidity during coating should be below %% , otherwise the drying time and recoating time will be significantly prolonged; the relative humidity should be above %% , otherwise the film-forming performance of the coating will be poor. The ambient temperature during coating must be maintained between %% °C and %% °C to achieve the optimal coating condition. At a temperature of70%When the temperature is around ℃, good air circulation can achieve a higher relative humidity.30%Otherwise, the film-forming performance of the paint will be poor. The temperature during application must be maintained between5℃ and35℃ to achieve the optimal film condition. At around30℃, higher relative humidity can be obtained through good air circulation.
Good air circulation must be maintained around the coated object after painting.
Small areas that are difficult to ventilate should be painted by brushing to prevent excessive coating thickness.
During application, if the ambient temperature is below the minimum film-forming temperature of the coating or ventilation is poor, it may result in poor film formation or powdery cracking of the paint film. In such cases, the old paint film must be removed and reapplied.
When using water-based epoxy zinc-rich primer, its viscosity gradually increases over time after mixing. If the specified pot life is exceeded, the performance of the cured paint film will be affected and fail to meet the required standards.
Applying water-based epoxy zinc-rich primer too thickly will prolong the minimum recoating interval and drying time, and may adversely affect the recoating interval of subsequent layers.
For durability, high gloss, colorfastness, and excellent decorative properties, the recommended topcoat should be applied.

6, cleaning
After construction, it is recommended to clean all equipment with purified water.
It is recommended to clean the equipment regularly during construction based on factors such as spray volume, temperature, and time.
Residual paint and packaging materials should be disposed of according to relevant local regulations.

Safety Precautions:
Proper Application:Durability of Water-based Coatings/Performance largely depends on proper application. For example, extra care is required when applying on sharp edges, riveted joints, and skip-welded areas to avoid excessive film thickness per coat. An additional pre-coat is recommended.
"Edge Effect":Since water-based coatings tend to flow away from sharp edges, it is necessary to smooth the edges to protect them from corrosion. The paint film at joints must be fully sealed and robust.
This product should be used by professional coating operators at production sites in accordance with the recommendations provided in this manual and the instructions on the packaging container. Do not use this product without reading the material safety data sheet.
All work involving the coating and use of this product must comply with relevant national health, safety, and environmental standardsand regulations.
When welding or flame cutting is performed on metal materials coated with this product, it will generate dust and fumes, as
Appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn, and adequate local exhaust ventilation measures must be taken.。
Storage:
Storage Temperature0℃~35°C, sealedStore in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Shelf life12months. If the shelf life is exceeded, it can still be used if it meets the standard requirements upon testing. When the temperature is below0℃effective anti-freezing measures should be taken.During storage and transportation, it must not be exposed to frost.
